Industrial Painter/Finisher

Job Description

    Aircraft Painter Description: 

    The Aircraft Painter works under supervision until qualified to safely prepare, paint and detail aircraft according to schedule following company quality standards and operating procedures. You will be trained in the classroom and on the job to complete all tasks in accordance with MAAS Aviation quality standards. Employee will use pneumatic tools and equipment associated with the aircraft painting.  

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    ·         Comply with safety rules and procedures and be alert for unsafe conditions. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk

    ·         Offer continuous improvement ideas/participate in continuous improvement activities

    ·         Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

    ·         While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee must be able to properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials as per regulations and company procedures. In addition, the employee shall promote an effective use of company assets to ensure ground and flight safety. Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

    ·         Read and interpret engineering paint drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes

    ·         Properly care for and maintain paint pumps, paint lines, air lines, etc

    ·         Read and interpret SDS and Technical Data Sheets to safely mix paints in accordance with specifications.

    All painters are trained in accordance with AS9100, 14001 and 18001.

    Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background screen, and have reliable transportation.
