CNC Technician
Location:  Gainesville, GEORGIA

Job Description

Position Summary: Responsible for the set up and operation of CNC controlled multi-axis / spindle production machines according to manufacturing specifications. Position Responsibilities: • Produces parts according to standard work procedures at respective work stations in accordance with bill of material, control plans, or work instructions. • Set up and operate CNC machine centers and/or material handling equipment (overhead cranes, lift assists, etc) safely and effectively. • Understand X, Y, and Z axis centerline pick up (as applicable). • Set up and adjust tools and/or make tool offsets as needed to ensure accurate machining. • Interpret SPC data and make adjustments as needed. • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain PM records per required frequency. • Communicate issues between shifts. • Produce product safely, maintaining the quality standards within the standard cycle time. • Complete required paper work (TPM sheets, P.I.S. cards, log books, production records, etc.) • Assist the team in training new operators. • Maintain housekeeping practices in accordance to 5S standards. • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and provide feedback. • Understands and complies with ISO 9001, TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements. • Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed. Essential Skills and Experience: • High school diploma or GED. • 2+ years CNC machining experience including set up and tool offset adjustments. • Ability to read blueprints and/or engineering drawings. • English language competency required. Preferred Skills and Experience: • Working knowledge of CNC controllers such as Siemens, Fanuc, etc. • Working knowledge of GD&T. • Working knowledge of creating and maintaining SPC, understanding metric system and Lean manufacturing concepts. • Working knowledge of SAP. • Familiarity with ISO9001/TS16949/ISO14001.

Remuneration:  $14.00 to $15.00 per Hour (Salary Depends on Experience)
