Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing and assigning accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services performed by physicians;
  • integrate medical coding and reimbursement rule changes into a practice’s reimbursement processes;
  • sort and file information that must be accurately entered into the computer system;
  • handling insurance claims, insurance fraud claims, & confidential patient records.
  • preparing each patient invoice for billing and carefully computing and double-checking costs for each service before doing so;


  • *Intermediate Alpha Numeric 5,000-8,000 kph with 95-100% accuracy
  • *Intermediate Medical Billing Experience
  • *Intermediate Customer Services Skills
  • *Knowledge of medical terminology
  • *Interpersonal/human relations skills
  • *Verbal and written communication skills
  • *Ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner
  • *Ability to make basic numerical calculations

  • *Ability to read and understand HCFA regulations, HIPAA.
  • *Ability to adhere to policy and procedures set company wide and inter-departmentally.
  • *Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload

Job Requirements Experience:

  • *High school diploma or equivalent.
  • *2-3 years accounts receivable claims adjudication with multiple payers.
  • *Previous experience working with posting payments into medical system, preferably for multiple accounts/offices.
  • *Comprehension of Explanation of Benefits.
  • *Knowledge of Managed Care in regards to contracts.
  • *Interpreting explanation of benefits and reconciling patient account to ensure proper payment, adjustment and balance.
  • *Electronic and paper claims submission requirements.
  • *Contracts and fee schedules.
  • *Must have experience with medical billing terminology.
  • *Medical Billing experience working in a speciatly clinic preferred.
  • *Experience with preparing & submiting claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail.
Remuneration:  $10.00 to $13.00 per Hour (Salary Depends on Experience)
