GENERAL FUNCTION: Highly influential role providing guidance and direction to the overall strategic vision of the organization; integrating a broad range of ideas and experience regarding information security controls, solutions, and architectures. Responsible for providing expertise and support on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise’s overall Information Security strategy and posture. Collaborates with the Chief Information Security Officer, business leaders and technical stakeholders to proactively address Information Security risks while achieving business objectives, meeting regulatory requirements, and addressing emerging threats. Provides guidance around these objectives and requirements leveraging a risk-based approach to ensure business value is achieved. Acts as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff. Establishes and communicates common goals and direction for security architecture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Plays a key role as the information security architect for projects and initiatives. Responsible for detailed security architecture and design for highly complex projects • Collaborates with the Security and Risk Services organization and the Chief Information Security Officer to define Information Security strategic goals and roadmaps. • Works independently to ensure that new projects, products, enhancements or initiatives align with Information Security strategic goals. • Acts as the highest-level information security technical expert in the creation, delivery, and integration of complex and comprehensive security solutions and architectures. • Acts as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent. Viewed as an Information Security expert and critical technical resource across multiple technical areas and business segments. • Establishes cross-organization relationships to ensure that security architecture decisions are aligned with organizational goals and that security risk and concerns are appropriately articulated. • Maintains and demonstrates an expert understanding of enterprise systems, policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and business drivers. • Represents Security Solutions Architecture at enterprise meetings. • Adheres to and promotes compliance to Information Security policies, standards and best practices. Recommends and authors changes to security policies and standards as assigned. • Leads process improvement and risk mitigation initiatives. • Coaches and mentors more junior staff.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with 10 or more years of experience. • 10 or more years of interdisciplinary experience in 4 or more of the following: Security Architecture and Design, Access Control Systems, Network Security, Network Architecture (Routing, switching, firewall, proxy servers, IDS/IPS), Application Security and Application SDLC, Security Governance and Risk Management, Cryptographic Controls, Physical Security, Networking, or Policy and Standard development. • Ability to manage multiple, diverse tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize work; strong organizational skills in a results-oriented environment. • Excellent communications skills and the ability to build effective relationships with business leaders and stakeholders. • Strong collaboration, communication, problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills. • Able to work independently in a dynamic environment. • CISSP required.
WORKING CONDITIONS: • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like. • Extended viewing of CRT screen.
