Junior Application Developer - XBRL

Job Description

Work with a team in design, code development, and implementation of software solutions to address business needs.?? Your typical day will include requirements gathering, design, code development and implementation to testing, support and other related functions.??

 

As you become more proficient, you may synchronize a technical approach with other stakeholders, architects, and development management.

 

Highlights of Responsibilities:

 

Assists in: requirements, maintains tests and integrates application components; the development of report definitions

Participates in reviewing, analyzing and testing software changes

Participates in Scrum meetings and ad-hoc development review meetings

Provides application development services or technical support typically in a defined project

Troubleshoots and corrects application errors discovered in user testing

; coding, testing, debugging, implementing and maintaining applications; supporting other application developers to ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and with business requirements and specifications

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

1-2 years of related experience, with data-driven application development

Uses professional concepts and client objectives to help resolve issues.

Possess strong research and analytical skills

Ability to troubleshoot development and application issues with end users

Familiar with development tools including Java, COBOL, SharePoint, Business Objects, or other languages

Extensive knowledge of XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language)

Testing and application troubleshooting skills/aptitude

Very good interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve differences with co-workers and end users; Strong written and oral communication skills; analytical and problem solving skills/aptitude

Ability to manage time, prioritize and manage competing priorities

Strong attention to detail; technical problem solving and time management skills

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
